After completing this step, your dentist will close up with sutures, and you'll be instructed on how to care for yourself during recovery.

Sinus lift procedures are typically done under local anesthesia and, depending on your individual case, may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours to complete. Recovery After a Sinus Lift

• It's important to avoid blowing your nose or sneezing forcefully for at least a week after the procedure, as this could disrupt the healing process. Your dentist may also advise against engaging in strenuous physical activities during this time. 
• During the first few days of recovery, it's best to stick to a soft food diet that doesn't require much chewing. This will allow your surgical site to heal without excess stress or strain. As you start feeling better, you can gradually reintroduce solid foods into your diet.
• Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential during recovery. However, it's important not to disturb the surgical site while brushing and flossing around it. Your dentist will provide specific instructions on how to clean your teeth properly without causing any harm.
• Complete recovery after a sinus lift takes about 4-6 months before dental implants can be placed successfully. It's crucial to attend all follow-up appointments with your dentist so they can monitor your progress and make sure everything is healing as expected.
